Community Guidelines

CrewVid is built on trust. These guidelines exist so everyone — creators, viewers, and peers — can participate safely. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.
1. Child Safety
We have zero tolerance for content that sexually exploits minors (CSAM). All uploads are screened using PhotoDNA. Any match is immediately reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. Accounts involved are permanently terminated and reported.
Content that is sexualised, exploitative, or harmful to minors in any way — including in fiction or animation — is strictly prohibited.
2. Violent or Graphic Content
Content that depicts real-world graphic violence for shock value, or that glorifies violence against people or animals, is not allowed. Documentary, news, or educational content that shows violence in context may be permitted but may be age-restricted.
3. Hate Speech
Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics — including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status — is prohibited.
4. Harassment and Bullying
Targeted harassment, threats, doxxing, or content intended to intimidate or humiliate a specific person is not allowed. Criticism, satire, and commentary on public figures is generally permitted.
5. Misinformation
Content that contains demonstrably false claims that could cause real-world harm — such as medical misinformation, election misinformation, or crisis misinformation — is subject to restriction or removal.
6. Spam and Deceptive Practices
Mass-uploading low-quality content, artificially inflating view counts or subscriber numbers, impersonating other creators or organisations, and misleading thumbnails or titles are prohibited.
7. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Upload only content you own or have the rights to. Reproducing copyrighted material without authorisation is a violation of our Terms and applicable law. We respond to DMCA takedown notices — see our DMCA page.
8. Privacy
Do not share private information about others (addresses, phone numbers, financial details) without their explicit consent. Hidden-camera content, non-consensual intimate imagery, and similar material is strictly prohibited.
9. Dangerous Activities
Content that instructs or encourages illegal activities — including the manufacture of weapons, synthesis of dangerous substances, or physical attacks on individuals — is prohibited. Safety-focused educational content may be permitted with appropriate warnings.
10. Made for Kids
If your content is directed at children, mark it accordingly using the “Made for Kids” toggle in Studio. This affects ad serving and complies with COPPA. Do not misuse this toggle.
11. Enforcement
We may remove content, issue warnings, restrict account features, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate accounts for violations of these guidelines. Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats of violence) result in immediate termination without warning.
If your content is removed in error, you can appeal via the notification you receive. Our moderation team will review appeals within 7 business days.
12. Reporting
You can report content that violates these guidelines using the report button next to any video or comment. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
