Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using CrewVid (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. CrewVid is operated by [Company Name] (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it current. You may not transfer your account to another person.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (“User Content”). By uploading, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transcode, distribute, display, and make available your User Content for the purpose of operating the Platform, including via the CrewOutpost peer-distribution network.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property right, privacy right, or applicable law; and (c) your User Content complies with our Community Guidelines.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Upload, share, or distribute content that violates our Community Guidelines or applicable law.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform without written permission.
  • Use automated means to interact with the Platform without prior authorisation.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Upload content that contains malware or harmful code.
  • Engage in fraud, abuse of the rewards system, or any activity designed to gain unfair advantage.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, software, logos, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

7. DMCA / Copyright

We respond to valid copyright takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To submit a notice, visit our DMCA page. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

8. CrewOutpost Peer Network

If you install and run the CrewOutpost desktop client, you agree to the additional terms in the Peer Participant Agreement, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-platform notice. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
